Are Gadgets Making Us Smarter or Lazier?

People are becoming more dependent on gadgets for simple tasks, which may reduce cognitive effort and weaken problem-solving skills over time.

Moreover, excessive gadget use can lead to distractions, shorter attention spans, and decreased deep focus. Social media apps are designed to keep users hooked, encouraging passive scrolling rather than active thinking.

Ultimately, gadgets themselves are not inherently good or bad. It depends on how we use them. If we use gadgets to supplement our abilities, expand our minds, and learn more effectively, they can be powerful allies. But if we rely on them to avoid effort or thinking, they may lead to a decline in mental discipline. Balance, again, is key.
